I continue to hear (older) business leaders saying we need to get people back to work. As in, back into stagnant office towers. And I also hear huge concern if workers don’t return in the numbers some leaders desire.
Here is a wake up call!
The business paradigm has shifted and changed…forever. Just like how the business world shifted from a manufacturing economy to a service economy. The business world is shifting, drastically, from a face-to face service economy to a digital, remote and mobile economy, led by strong analytics, for most businesses worldwide.
Look for global urban centers to soon become less office towers and more digital communities, including housing and other supportive services for families and communities overall.
Those who argue against it, will be swept away with a tsunami of change, competition, new businesses and speed.
Also look for leaders in their 40s and 50s to begin replacing many leaders in their 60s and 70s who still, don’t get it.
Why?
Because ultimately, it will be about continued growth, competitiveness and a futurist’s mindset, now, to win.”
